We are very privileged to be joined by Gail Heath, CEO of The Pankhurst Trust, who will give us an insight into the fantastic work The Pankhurst Trust delivers across the region.
The Pankhurst Trust brings together Manchester Women’s Aid and the Pankhurst Centre. Working together to ensure the powerful story of the women who won the vote continues to inspire us all to challenge gender inequality, and to ensure that those suffering from domestic violence and abuse get the confidential help they need.
Driven by principles of social justice, Gail has worked her way up from grass roots housing activism to become Assistant Director of Housing for Manchester City Council before taking on the role of CEO of The Pankhurst Trust (Incorporating Manchester Women’s Aid) in 2014. Throughout her career she has been active in using her skills and networks to collaborate with others to develop and run inclusive services. In her current role, Gail has gained a deeper understanding of the inequality and barriers faced by so many and is determined to use everything learnt during her career to promote equity and fairness.
