A free Get Into Teaching event is coming to the North West to encourage people to think about a career in the classroom and to find out more about life as a teacher.
The event is open to everyone, including those looking to make a career switch later in life.
The Get Into Teaching North West event will include opportunities to talk to training providers about courses they offer, find out how to apply for teacher training, explore what funding is available, and connect with others interested in teaching. Information will also be available about how to fund your training.
The free Get Into Teaching event aims to inspire more people in the area to join an exciting and varied profession that helps shape the lives of the next generation. It is part of a programme of events taking place in different locations across England this autumn, organised by Get Into Teaching, which offers free advice and support for those thinking about teaching and for those ready to apply.
According to a recent national survey* for Get Into Teaching, more than nine in ten teachers (93%) say their students have had a positive influence on their outlook on life, with a similar amount (92%) revealing they’ve learnt more about themselves from working with young people than they ever thought they would.
