Manchester is now commissioning a number of large hotels; such as Hotel Football located near Trafford bar. A substantial project, the 4 star hotel will bring hundreds of jobs into the Trafford area whilst also offering high- quality accommodation for Manchester United fans.
“Michelin-star chef, five-a-side football pitch on the roof
and 138 rooms.”
Feeding a love of football, Hotel Football aims to capture that authentic football culture, with hints to the game running throughout.
Ryan Giggs and Gary Neville will open the first Hotel Football this December in Manchester complete with Michelin-star chef, five-a-side football pitch on the roof – which is retractable and has panoramic view across the city of Manchester– and 138 rooms.
The United legends’ business venture GG Hospitality is behind the hotel, which will be opposite Old Trafford football ground and is already taking bookings for the four-star hotel which will open on 8 December.
There will be event space, a football-themed café and the official Old Trafford Supporters Club. The hotel also promises to give fans the ‘Ultimate match day experience’ with rooms subtly designed with football themes and each boasting a 40 inch smart TV with unlimited Sky Sports.
Gary Neville said: “Ryan and I have spent so much of our lives playing at Old Trafford and appreciate everyone who supported us there over the years.
“To make sure that the hotel appeals to everyone, not just football fans, we are working with some of the most talented people in the industry to create something unique and inviting – with a focus on excellent customer service.”
WATCH this video of a site visit to the hotel. Ryan Giggs and Gary Neville with Paul Scholes, Phil Neville and Nicky Butt are shown around their under-construction hotel, ending up at the rooftop 5-a-side pitch, where the Hotel Football building team are waiting to try and teach them a lesson…
In terms of Manchester’s future, Hotel Football represents the supreme confidence of investors in the city’s tourism and leisure sectors. If the project goes well, furthermore, it’s entirely plausible that Manchester will continue to build large hotel franchises throughout the near and distant future.
