The hospitality and events industry is facing huge challenges and uncertainties as events and festivals are cancelled due to the coronavirus outbreak.

Many companies are licking their wounds and adapting the way they work around the crisis. Mobile drinks service Dovetail Drinks are doing just that.

Most of us who work hard enjoy an after work drink and NHS workers are no exception.  Thanks to Dovetail Drinks, you can buy a key worker a drink in the form of a ready-to-drink bottled cocktail made with the same love and care they are providing our loved ones every day.

Dovetail are working with the charitable folk at Hotel Football and Stock Exchange Hotel, who have shown great generosity and community spirit by donating beds to NHS staff, to deliver delicious drinks directly to key workers.

“We’ve spent our time at  licking our wounds, following the advice of the government and generally eating too much,” says co-founder and director Liam Coulton.

“We got our collective brains together to see how we could help the effort and realised our skill set didn’t extend to making PPE or ventilators. The only thing we are any good at is making drinks.

“We’ve been blown away at how many bartenders who have worked for us want to help and we can produce and deliver these bottles for about £3 each (which is our suggested donation).

“So our goal is to raise money to drop off as many tasty drinks at as many hospitals as we can. We figured Manchester is pretty good place to start.

“We also understand that a lot of people are pretty skint right now.  So if you can’t afford to help then please like, share, hashtag and all those wonderful things.”
