Dinosaurs in the Park

Brace yourselves for an epic adventure as the colossal creatures of the past come roaring to life in Manchester’s Heaton Park.

Get ready to embark on a prehistoric escapade like no other atDinosaurs in the Park”, which boasts an impressive collection of 40 life-sized animatronic dinosaurs, guaranteed to captivate dino fans of all ages.

From July 20th to August 6th, Heaton Park will transform into a palaeontologist’s playground, offering an educational and entertaining day out for the entire family.

Prepare to be astounded as you traverse the Dinosaur Trail, where each twist and turn reveals a dinosaur surprise.

And hold onto your hats, folks, because there’s a chance to engage in some Jurassic dentistry by brushing the teeth of the resident T-Rex!

Among the lineup of dino superstars, you’ll find beloved classics like the majestic Stegosaurus, the mighty Triceratops, and the lightning-fast Velociraptor.

Hidden gems of the dinosaur kingdom

But that’s not all!

Prepare to be introduced to some hidden gems of the dinosaur kingdom, including the enigmatic Dilophosaurus, the spiky Kentrosaurus, and the towering Hypacrosaurus.

Mark your calendars for Sunday, July 23rd, and Saturday, August 5th, because there’s a special treat in store.

Dr. Dean Lomax, the real-life palaeontologist from Manchester University, will make a guest appearance, adding his expertise to the roarsome proceedings.

Dr. Lomax will regale visitors with captivating tales about dinosaurs, answer burning questions, and even showcase his impressive fossil collection. Children will also be able to bring their own fossils and uncover their hidden secrets alongside Dr. Lomax.

The fun doesn’t stop there!

After the trail, a delightful world of hands-on activities awaits in the fun zone, all included in the ticket price.

Unleash your inner archaeologist with dino excavation digs, take a swing at mini golf amidst towering prehistoric creatures, bounce your way through the Dino Kingdom bouncy castle, or let your little ones explore the mini soft play area designed especially for tiny explorers.

And for creative minds, the Designasaurus studio offers a chance to craft your very own dinosaur and witness it come to life on the screen.

Dive into the fascinating world of Videosaurus, and don’t forget to visit the Palaeontologist tent, where a treasure trove of fossils, dinosaur dung, and intriguing facts await your discovery.

If that’s not enough to get your tail wagging with excitement, there’s more! As an optional extra, children can enjoy thrilling rides at the fun fair, adding an extra dose of joy to the adventure-filled day (additional charges apply per ride).

Following its debut in Plymouth, the dinosaurs are now en route to Manchester and will subsequently conquer Cardiff for the summer holidays of 2023.
