Lauded as the most romantic restaurant in the UK at the Italian Awards 2015, there’s a reason Manchester’s oldest Italian indie is one of our city’s favourites when it comes to celebrating a special occasion.

With a sleek, art-deco Italian marble bar, crisp white tablecloths and sparkling silverware, Don Giovanni exudes glamour and elegance before you even step through the door.

However, fear not, because there’s no stuffiness here: just warm and friendly staff who are eager to please (and who have, by the by, assisted their guests in many a surprise engagement over the years). Don Gio’s is exactly the kind of restaurant you want to dress up to go to, but feel comfortable enough once inside to leave your airs and graces behind.

This year the multi-award-winning team have put together a special five course menu, which will be available to wine-and-diners from 7pm on 9th, 10th, 11th and 14th of February. For £50, diners will enjoy a welcome glass of champagne garnished with 24 carat gold leaf, followed by a mouth-watering selection of bespoke dishes, all designed to be filling yet light enough to safeguard against the dreaded V-day bloat.

This year, Don Giovanni are also working with Mangrove’s Mozart chocolate liqueurs to provide every couple with a homemade, delicious gift to enjoy at home. The two have partnered together to celebrate Valentine’s Day, and DG’s dessert chefs will be creating beautiful chocolate liqueur truffles for all of their Valentine’s guests.

Live entertainment will run in the restaurant from 7.30pm to late, with funk, soul and jazz the name of the game. Keeping the vibes smooth all night long, you can trust you’ll be in a safe pair of hands this Valentine’s Day at Don Giovanni.
