We’re used to seeing her famous face walking the cobbles of Coronation Street, but this week actress Faye Brookes is helping the next generation of budding performers have some time in the spotlight.

Setting up the Fates Academy just last year, performers Faye Brookes and Gareth Gates teamed up to create their own performing arts school in the hopes of teaching and inspiring the next generation of budding thespians.

Using their professional training and industry experience, the duo’s academy caters to children aged 5-16, with three different levels for varying age groups, and takes full advantage of the recording studios at UTC to film and document all of their work and projects.

Based at MediaCityUK, the academy has a team of fully qualified teachers behind them and these industry professionals also share lots of experience both on stage and screen.

Combining acting, singing and dancing, the full-service performance academy is producing a concert featuring The Greatest Showman singalong favourites Come Alive, Never Enough and the showstopper This is Me – and what better a place to host such an event than Manchester’s Impossible Theatre.

Performed by the talented students of the Fates Academy, guests are invited to watch as the next generation of future stars puts on a spectacular night of entertainment and fun for the whole family.

And with academy founder and Corrie favourite Faye hosting the event, guests are guaranteed to see a few familiar faces on the night.

Talking about the concert, Faye said: “Rehearsals for the show are well underway and we’re counting down the days until we go live. Impossible Theatre is a fantastic location to perform in and we hope the audience enjoy the performance as much as us.”

Performances take place over two nights, Wednesday 17th and Thursday 18th October at 7.30pm. Impossible Theatre is located next to the Great Northern.

Tickets for the showcase are priced at £15 per person.
