The hottest day of the year – with temperatures reaching up 32 degrees – is a distant memory and we’re coming to the close of summer in Mancunialand.

If you missed it, don’t worry, it was always likely to be over before you could dig out the suncream. That’s why Dive NQ, the basement bar in the Northern Quarter, have got Christmas on their mind. And with less than 150 days left until the big day, they have big plans.

As Christmas is the season of goodwill to all mankind, Dive NQ are offering everyone who books their party before the end of August a free drink (so practically a free round for all your work colleagues). The more the merrier definitely works in this scenario!

They are offering various packages and have got an array of spaces suitable for any Christmas party. The snug offers an enclosed curtain area to give you a bit of privacy or, for a big blowout you can take centre stage in the main area.

The guys at Dive like to do things a little differently and Christmas time is no exception. So why not stuff the turkey and feast on their giant Thanksgiving Platter, pigs in blanket served with mustard and Orleans-style beignets with lots of runny orange chocolate sauce.

When it comes to drinks, these guys have shown that they know a thing or two – perfect if you’re after a festive tipple or two.

They are keeping the finer details under wraps at the moment but they’ve got festive cocktails and party packages to blow your socks off.

In August, the venue will be holding a showcase with a sneak preview of some of these tasty festive bites and seasonal tipples to give it that magical happy holidays feeling. There may even be a few of those wonderful but distant Christmas tunes blasting out.

The early bird deal is perfect for more organised party planners. For those who are not very organised, maybe a free drink will entice you to get your bums into gear!
