Bridge Street pop-up bar Garage is to stay open for the summer months with extended opening hours until September.
The temporary venue will continue to trade due to the popularity of the large roof terrace overlooking Bridge Street
DJs will be booked to play upstairs so guests can dance and socialise on the terrace throughout the summer. An extended license means the bar can now stay open past the original midnight curfew.
For the extended months of trade, Garage is introducing a new happy hour offer with deals throughout the week including Tap Tuesday (2 for 1 on selected drinks on tap), Wine Wednesday (house wine for £10), Thirsty Thursday (a free tonic or mixer with your spirit of choice), and Fizz Friday (buy one get one free on 1754 prosecco).
The pop-up opened on the site of an old garage late last year in the annex next to what will be Manchester Hall. Themed decor includes headlights, car front grills and license plates decorating the walls, with car-themed cocktails served by bar staff dressed in mechanics’ overalls.
The bar has a capacity of 120 people and can cater for private parties of up to 80 guests.
It’s the first in a series of new openings as part of the multi-million refurbishment of the former Grade II listed Freemasons Hall by Vision Developments.
The interior has been untouched since the 1920’s and will be transformed into a boutique venue dedicated to conferencing, weddings, events and dining.
The restoration is due for completion later this year.
