If you’re worried about an unlucky Friday the 13th, don’t panic. Saturday is about to get much better.

VICE is launching its Old Blue Last Beer in Manchester, and to kick off a week’s worth of events they are giving away 5,000 free beers via Uber Eats this Saturday 14th April.

Beer fans, over the age of 18, can search Old Blue Last Beer in the Uber Eats app, put an order in using the code ‘beerfordrinking’ and wait for their 4-pack of cans to arrive.

The giveaway starts at 12pm on Saturday 14th April and the 5% ABV brew will be available to Mancunians at participating locations while stocks last.

The free beer giveaway will kick off Canchester, a week of beer-fuelled events across the city in partnership with VICE, Noisey and some of Manchester’s finest institutions.

On Monday 16th April from 7pm there will be an evening of screenings and discussion with VICE’s Clive Martin at Manchester Academy 3, followed by a pub quiz on Tuesday 17th from 7pm at Bunny Jackson’s with beer specials and prizes to be won. Test your team’s knowledge of music, memes, and everything in between.

On Wednesday 18th from 9pm, Noisey and Old Blue Last Beer are hosting karaoke in the Whiskey Jar, with DJs and beer specials all night long.

And on Thursday 19th April, the Old Blue Last Beer official launch party sees a multi-venue Northern Quarter throw down with all of the trimmings.

Venues include Noho, Soup Kitchen and Night & Day. Expect bands, DJ’s, MC’s, prizes and of course, free beers.
