Relaxing over good food and drink is many people’s idea of the perfect Sunday. Now B.Eat Street bar The Golden Pineapple has a brand new Sunday offer – two cheeses, sides and a carafe of red wine for just £10 from 12pm-12am every Sunday.
The board style means it is ideal for sharing between friends – but the food is so good you may not want to.
Choose two from the selection of three speciality cheeses. For a mature taste there’s Wookey Hole Cheddar, a cave aged West Country variety from Dorset.
If you prefer something a little mellower, try the Lord London semi-soft cheese. And for anyone who enjoys a bit of blue, there’s Caws Cenarth Per Las Blue, a creamy golden blue variety from Wales. Your selection will be accompanied by pickles and crackers.
The Golden Pineapple opened last month next to Junior Jackson’s at Deansgate Mews, inspired by Havana’s historic La Pina de Plata (The Silver Pineapple) famously frequented by Ernest Hemingway and has a name worth remembering.
The pineapple has come to represent hospitality and welcome since it was discovered by Christopher Columbus in 1493 and is a symbol used throughout the city.
Find The Golden Pineapple on B.Eat Street, a unique blend of bars and food vendors in the Great Northern Warehouse. It’s easily accessed via The Great Northern Warehouse, just right from the AMC ticket office. Alternatively, the steps opposite The Hilton and 235 Deansgate will lead you up to this Cuban-style bar of delights.
And there’s cocktails, craft gins and much more at The Golden Pineapple for when you’ve finished that carafe of wine.
