BOWLING is set to become Manchester’s favourite past time as local brand Black Dog Ballroom gets set to launch its exciting new late night ten pin bowling venue, Dog Bowl on Tuesday April 2nd, 2013.
“…unique personality of the original Northern Quarter hang out with even more fun…”
Following the success of their recent opening on New Wakefield Street in May, this third venture from Black Dog Ballroom, in the old Cocotoo, facing The Ritz, will join a number of new venues on neighbouring Whitworth Street West.
The New York style venue will feature the unique personality of the original Northern Quarter hang out with even more fun in the form of five lanes of bowling, accompanied by Black Dog Ballroom’s popular speakeasy and diner.
Expect ball dispensers inspired by the brand’s own black dog, Bruce the Patterdale Terrier, gleaming wooden floors and fantastic Tex-Mex dishes made with only the best local produce. Dog Bowl will serve delicious cocktails, quesadillas, BBQ grilled steak, fried chicken and fajitas late into the night.
Ross Mackenzie, founder of Black Dog Ballroom, comments; “We can’t wait until we open the doors in April, the venue is going to look really great. Following the success of the karaoke and pool before it will be exciting to see the response we get from the people of Manchester with this offering which is different yet again. Whilst the regulars at Black Dog Ballroom will recognise the brand we hope to appeal to a much broader audience with Dog Bowl.
Jobe Ferguson, co-owner also said; “We are opening Dog Bowl with quite a fresh new food offering that departs a little from the NY style burgers and pizzas of the Northern Quarter and New Wakefield Street bars. The Tex-Mex plates are something that Manchester hasn’t seen too much of before and our chef has created some mouthwatering dishes that will work for lunch, dinner or late into the night.”
