Bikram Yoga is the original hot yoga, unique series of 26 Hatha Yoga postures (asanas) and 2 breathing exercises (pranayamas), which is challenging, fun and suitable for all ages, levels of ability and body types, Bikram Yoga is practised in a room heated to around 105F (40C) for classes are 90 minutes.
All classes are the same and open to beginners that way no matter which class you attend you be able to start for the first time or to build on the work you did in the last class.
Each posture, performed in the given order, stretches and strengthens the specific muscles, ligaments and joints that are needed for the next posture. The Bikram Method also stimulates the organs, glands and nerves, systematically flushing oxygenated blood through 100% of the body, restoring all systems to healthy working order, just as nature intended.
Bikram scientifically designed this 90 minute programme to deliver total health through the balancing and strengthening of every system in the body in order to prevent illness and injury, promote weight loss, and limit the effects of aging. In addition, the series of postures combine skills of concentration, patience, determination and self-control that increase mental clarity and reduce stress.
