Manchester International Festival begins today, 1st July, and along with all the immersive art and culture on display, Delhi House Café is treating all under 10s, who are accompanied with an adult with a MIF ticket, to a free meal.

MIF brings together unique artists with backgrounds in music, artwork, food and drink, dance, theatre, and more to deliver performances and displays throughout stunning venues across Manchester.

There are also plenty of free events taking place across the city.

Delhi House Cafe is a concept style cafe-meets-restaurant which aims to redefine Indian cuisine in Manchester with stunning new dishes of contemporary Indian cooking.

The restaurant’s new terrace overlooks Cathedral Gardens and its new al fresco menu includes everything from quick bites through to starter sized dishes, hearty mains and quirky breads to eat in or grab and go.

There’s street food treats such as lentil fritters with shredded radish and mint chutney, or starters including tandoori dishes, kebabs and even homemade fish fingers and chips.

Those who fancy something more substantial can choose from a butter chicken tikka masala or a kadhai paneer, with butter or garlic naans, tandoori roti and the restaurant’s signature chips when it comes to sides.

Bread dishes, baked fresh on-site, include a naan bread burger and nizami kathi rolls.

The restaurant has also added a stylish pop-up cocktail bar with a special summer cocktail menu ‘Summer in Delhi’ on its terrace so visitors can take a short break from the art and music and bask in the Manchester sun.

The restaurant is excited to get involved by welcoming little ones to enjoy a free bite to eat as they experience the magnificent culture on offer at the festival.

Children can choose from the delicious buttered chicken tikka masala, or any other of the tasty and milder dishes on offer on the kid’s menu.

Children must be ten or under, accompanied by an adult ticket holder, with a ticket valid for MIF on the same day of dining.
