Street food favourites Porky Pig are soon going to be dedicating a whole day to the magnificent bird that is the chicken.
Starting from this week, they’ll be ditching their signature pork on Wednesdays in favour of all the chicken you can possibly eat.
It’s all part of a new weekly promotion owner Eddie Osman is calling Chicken Wednesdays.
Customers will still be able to get their hands on the shop’s famous Yorkshire pudding wraps, calzones and pizzas – with filling options consisting of FIVE different styles of chicken.
Flavours on offer will range from classic plain chicken to BBQ, lemon, sweet Mediterranean and hot and spicy – more than making up for the absence of the cafe’s usual pork, beef, gammon and lamb.
These can be eaten with salad or in a naan wrap, as a sandwich, or as part of a chicken box with wings on the side.
Alternatively, it can be enjoyed in a carvery box, served with a jacket potato or with curry and rice.
Veggies will also be catered for with a range of halloumi options including burgers, salads and fish and chips as well as the usual wraps, carvery boxes and Yorkshire pudding pizzas.
“It will be a big change from what our customers are used to but it will be such a colourful display,” said owner Eddie Osman.
“I can’t wait.”
Neither can we, Eddie. Roll on Wednesday.
