Set in the recently reviewed and exclusive Cloud 23 bar, the Zacapa Rum itself mirrored the suave interior of the classy bar, with it’s particular taste and elegant presentation it demonstrated pure sophistication.
The unique experience entitles the tasting of three cocktails, paired to three tasting plates, fittingly designed to complement each drink. Each course was beautifully presented, and complimented the food choice to a tee. Accompanied by a gorgeous view of sunshine stricken Manchester, we enjoyed every luxurious detail and were left feeling spoilt by the end of the evening.
Ron Zacapa Centenario rum is created through a unique fusion of place and time, distilled from virgin Guatemalan sugar cane honey, and slow-matured Highland distillery, Zacapa demonstrates similarities to a greek God, nick named the house in the cloud by the locals, this seems only fitting. The three courses aim to take you on a journey to Guatemala to experience the divine tasting rum and develop your understanding of taste.

Each bottle is adorned with a ‘petate’ band woven according to an ancient Mayan tradition which represents the unity of everything, Just like the leaves of the petate are interwoven, so are the earth and the sky, the sun and the moon, and the physical and spiritual realms which inform the passionate care which the rum is crafted.
