Working out gives you endorphins and endorphins make you happy. If that’s not a reason to start your sweat sesh with Nuffield Health, we don’t know what is.
We all made those New Year’s resolutions to hit the gym this year, but they never happened. Then we promised we’d get our abs on point for summer. Never happened.
Now we’re wanting to tone up before Christmas party seasons hits. How’s that going? Not so well? Yep, us too. Damn you, Krispie Kreme doughnuts.
But now is the perfect time to reignite your fitness regime.
The Printworks and Nuffield Health Manchester Printworks Fitness and Wellbeing Gym are calling for Mancunians to get back into their fitness regimes after the summer holidays with a free taster session at Fitworks.
The Printworks and Nuffield Health will be offering four 20 minute class taster sessions in the Pump Yard to the beat of a live DJ on Monday 11 September between 5 and 7pm.
The fitness classes, which will be available to members and non-members of the gym with no obligation, will be run by experts from Nuffield Health and will include Body Attack, Body Combat, Aerobics and Sh’Bam.
Sh’Bam is the latest craze in fitness and dancing from Les Mills, the gurus behind Body Pump, Body Attack and Body Combat.
It’s a fun-loving, insanely addictive dance workout in an ego-free zone with no dance experience required.
All you need is a playful attitude and a cheeky smile, so forget being a wallflower. Even if you walk in thinking you can’t, you’ll walk out knowing you can.
Wagamama in The Printworks will also be involved, giving away tasters of their healthy dishes and juices after the event to inject an additional boost of health into the evening.
And The Printworks and Nuffield Health will be getting involved in Public Health England’s Active10 initiative as they launch 10 walks around Manchester city centre over the next ten weeks. Each of the walks, lasting ten minutes, will be designed to get people away from their desks once a day.
Look out for the first one on The Printworks’ social media channels on Monday 11 September. There will be prizes for people who share their walking experiences and photos on social media via the Active10 app, using the hashtag #PWGetMCRActive.
“We love bringing our fitness classes out to the public to get everyone involved,” says Nuffield Health deputy general manager Neil McDonald.
“It’s been a long summer and we know everyone is out of their routine and has probably over indulged so now is the time to reset and get ready for a fabulous autumn.”
Couldn’t agree more. You’ll be looking like J-Lo in no time. See you there.
