Already a sophisticated and vibrant destination, Spinningfields is becoming increasingly more diverse and cosmopolitan this year with another big London restaurant opening its doors.

‘£2m to fit-out and can
seat 200 covers…’

Situated in the former All Saints unit, we ran through gail force winds across the city centre with our camera to capitalise an invite for a first look inside Iberica Spinningfields.

We’re immediately impressed by the high ceilings adorned with dramatic lamp shades and an authentic colour palette throughout. Externally, two impressive terraces (still unfinished) sit either side of the main entrance to the restaurant, taking inspiration from the atmosphere of Barcelona and Madrid’s wonderful terrace culture.

This is Ibérica’s fifth site, setting them back over £2m to fit-out and can seat 200 covers – making it Ibérica’s biggest restaurant to date. No expense has been spared and aesthetics are certainly not sacrificed for more tables. A setting worthy of its cuisine…

We met with Ibérica’s Spanish head chef, Cesar Garcia (pictured above cutting cured ham), to sample the menu and take pictures of the carefully presented dishes. The man is a perfectionist. The kitchen produces an ever-evolving menu to combine traditional classics that sit alongside contemporary tapas.

Aside from traditional small plate tapas, the food menu includes salads & vegetables, eggs & croquettes, fish & seafood, cured meat & cheeses – all driven by the close relationships it has forged with producers across Spain to provide high quality ingredients.

In addition to its restaurant, Ibérica Spinningfields also has an in-house delicatessen selling a selection of its lovingly sourced produce, including a collection of over 20 different olive oils, preserved fish and vegetables, turrones (traditional Iberian sweets) and one of the largest selections of Spanish cheese and cured meats available in the UK.
