Almost Famous

Almost Famous, the cult favourite burger institution, has announced that its bringing back one of the most legendary burgers to ever grace its grills – The Unfairground.

As one of the brand’s most loved limited edition burgers, The Unfairground is making its triumphant return to Manchester and Liverpool for one month only, from Thursday 13th March 2025.

Originally unleashed in 2019, The Unfairground became the stuff of  Almost Famous legend, selling well over 13,800 burgers in its first run. Now, with new owners at the helm and a renewed commitment to the brand, Almost Famous has heard the loud and hungry calls of its loyal fans and is bringing it back by popular demand.

The Unfairground returns to Almost Famous

The Unfairground stands out as a true monster of a burger. As with every Almost Famous creation, it all starts with its signature double cheeseburger, which is then smothered in cheese sauce, layered with crispy shoestring onions, and finished with a punch of French’s classic American mustard.

Adding to the indulgence, deep-fried frickle battered bacon delivers a satisfying crunch, while bacon ketchup and peppered mayo deliver the perfect balance of creamy, tangy richness. To top it all off – quite literally – the burger is crowned with a corndog, making it a feast like no other. And for £14.50, it’s not just a mouthful but an absolute steal.

Jasmine Lees-Blakemore, Head Chef at Almost Famous

Jasmine Lees-Blakemore, Head Chef at Almost Famous, said: “The Unfairground is one of the wildest, most ridiculous burgers we’ve ever created, and that’s exactly why people love it.

“It’s big, it’s messy and it’s over the top in the best possible way. Fans asked for it, and we listened, bringing it back exclusively for just one month. Make sure you don’t miss out and get involved while you can!”

Dan Kelly, Managing Director of D2

Dan Kelly, Managing Director of D2, the new owners of Almost Famous, added: “It’s because of our amazing staff, suppliers, and of course, the fans, that we’ve been able to bring The Unfairground back so quickly after reopening. After a rollercoaster few months, we’re committed to make Almost Famous bigger, bolder, and better. The Unfairground is the perfect way to kick things off – it’s loud, indulgent, and everything people love about the brand.”

The burger was originally inspired by the over the top indulgence of classic American fairgrounds and boardwalks – where deep-fried excess reigns supreme. It was born from the idea of balancing a burger in one hand and a corndog in the other, capturing the spirit of carnival style feasting in a single, outrageous creation.

With Almost Famous back in action, this is just the beginning. Another special is set to launch in April, continuing the brand’s commitment to delivering the boldest burgers around.

The Unfairground will be available for £14.50 at Almost Famous locations in Manchester’s Northern Quarter and Liverpool Parr Street from 13th March 2025 for one month only. Bookings are now live on their website by clicking here
