St. Patricks day is here once more and Irish Community Care Manchester are celebrating Irish culture the only way we know how with parades, music, dancing, (maybe a bit of) drinking and a whole lot of craic!
Manchester Irish Passport: Heritage Hunt – All March 2025 – £2.50/FREE: Explore Manchester Irish history, present, heritage & culture using your Manchester Irish Passport booklet. With clues to help you hunt down the locations Irish connections, you can do your heritage hunt at home with friends using the internet, your own knowledge & Manchester Irish history resources, or visit the locations in person. Get your Manchester Irish Passport booklet from the Irish Community Care Office (895 Stockport Rd, Levenshulme, M19 3PG) or from our Siopa na hÉireann (Irish Shop) in the Irish Village at St Ann’s Square for small fee.
St. Patrick’s Day Parade – Sunday 16th March, from 12pm, Manchester City Centre – FREE: Promising to be bigger and better than last year, the St Patrick’s Parade returns to the city centre, and all are encouraged to bring lots of colour, noise & energy, whether you have a lot, a little or no Irish at all as we celebrate Manchester’s huge & historical connections to Ireland. The starting point is at Irish World Heritage Centre, 1 Irish Town Way, Cheetham Hill, Manchester M8 0AE, heading into the city centre through Deansgate.
The Big Irish Quiz! Wednesday 12th March, 6:30pm at Irish Village, St Ann’s Square – £2pp entry fee OTD: With Irish themed prizes for the winners & ultimate losers, test your knowledge of the Emerald Isle, grab a pint of the black stuff, and help raise money for Irish Community Care Manchester too. Both team & solo entries are welcome.
Siopa na hÉireann (Irish Shop) – 7th-17th March, 12-5pm – Irish Village, St Ann’s Square: Get classic, famous & special Irish foods, drinks & goods from our Siopa na hÉireann (or Irish Shop in English) in the Irish village and help raise money for Irish Community Care Manchester
