Lou Cordwell OBE, Professor of Innovation and Special Advisor Lou is a Professor of Innovation and Special Advisor to the Vice-Chancellor at The University of Manchester. Lou founded the digital design studio magneticNorth, which later merged with Fluxx to create the UK’s leading design and innovation consultancy, Magnetic, before being acquired by Newton Europe in 2024. In December 2024, Lou was named CEO of Unit M, The University of Manchester’s new innovation powerhouse. Lou is also Chair of the Greater Manchester Business Board.
