Greater Manchester residents have a unique opportunity to help their favourite charities this year, thanks to the Movement for Good Awards.

Run by the Benefact Group, this inspiring initiative is donating over £1 million to good causes across the country, with £1,000 awards up for grabs for local charities.

Movement for Good Awards

It’s easy to get involved. Simply visit their website here and nominate a charity close to your heart.

The more nominations a charity gets, the better its chances of being chosen for a donation. For many charities, a £1,000 boost can make a world of difference – from funding essential programs to reaching more people in need.

Last year, over 18,300 people from Greater Manchester came together to nominate charities that mattered to them. Among the local winners were Destination Florida, Chelwood Foodbank Plus, and Community Little Hulton, who used the funds to create real change in their communities.

This year, the initiative is back, and the Benefact Group is also introducing special draws, where charities can secure grants of £5,000. Winners will be selected at random, with announcements made throughout the year.

Mark Hews, Group Chief Executive of Benefact Group

Mark Hews, Group Chief Executive of Benefact Group, shared his passion for the program:

“Giving back is at the heart of everything we do. As a company owned by a charity, we’re proud to have donated over £230 million to good causes since 2014. Our Movement for Good Awards are one way we can help charities do more of their life-changing work.”

So why not take a moment to make a difference? Nominating a charity is quick and simple, but it could have a lasting impact on your community.

Share the link with your friends and family – together, you could help your favourite cause win a share of this incredible £1 million donation.
