Back for its 13th year running with a brand new theme “If Words Could Kill”
The Little Print Shop of Horrors is back on 24th October and brings together the city’s creative and horror-loving community for an annual charity poster shop and fundraising event. Hosted at Seven Brothers Crafthouse, with all proceeds supporting Humans MCR, a local charity committed to tackling food poverty in Greater Manchester.
Since its inception, the Little Print Shop of Horrors has raised over £20,000 for local causes, growing into a highly anticipated event on Manchester’s cultural calendar. This year, the fundraiser hopes to surpass last year’s record contributions to Humans MCR, which works
tirelessly to provide respect, health, dignity, and hope to those facing food insecurity in the region. As energy price caps rise and the winter months approach, many families are facing even greater challenges, making support from events like this one more crucial than ever.
For the 13th year, a new concept graces the Manchester founded special, this year’s theme is “If Words Could Kill.” Each artist was challenged to take an iconic or lesser-known quote from horror films or TV shows and reimagine it in their own style. Each poster promises to transform a memorable horror line into a piece of art, blurring the lines between typography and graphic design. We have an exceptional line up of 14 artists, some Manchester based, and others international. A line up including Michael Driver, Darren Newman Mauro Gatti, stereoplastika and Carl Regan.
The poster shop and event set out to raise awareness of the work that Humans MCR do, give the much needed push ahead of winter, and raise as much proceeds in the process.
