A new immersive adventure served up this summer by award-winning artist collective Marshmallow Laser Feast.
Sweet Dreams invites you to explore our place in the food chain, wrapping big ideas about appetite and desire in a surreal pop package through a blend of motion graphics, gaming and cinema.
Enter the world of a fast-food empire in decline and meet Chicky Ricky, their mascot grappling with an uncertain future. His quest to understand what people really want will take him deep into the strange and complex world of food today. Will he adapt or face extinction?
Voiced by actor and comedian Munya Chawawa, Chicky Ricky is joined by a glut of other characters along the way – including shelved mascot Penny Peckish (voiced by comedian and impressionist Morgana Robinson) and The Boss (voiced by comedian Reggie Watts). Not shying away from big questions about food, consumerism and desire, this multi–sensory experience is a must–see this Summer.
Playful, satirical and surreal, Sweet Dreams is a brand-new experience from Marshmallow Laser Feast. One of the world’s leading immersive artist collectives, their work has been shown all over the globe – and they’re no strangers to Factory International, having worked with us on a stunning online re-imagining of A Midsummer Night’s Dream.
Known for their breathtaking immersive exhibitions inspired by the natural world, Sweet Dreams is the collective’s first venture into the world of story-driven work. Cooked up in collaboration with award-winning writer and former chef Simon Wroe, it’s a perfect recipe.
