For the first time during its run in Manchester, explore never-before-displayed objects that tell the city’s unique story of the pandemic and how people here responded to this global challenge.

Injecting Hope: The race for a COVID-19 vaccine showcases the intense and rapid nature of tackling the pandemic. Discover how scientists and researchers adapted and came together during this challenging time to find solutions and save lives, and the impact this had on the world we live in today.

From examining the virus itself to recognising the work done quietly behind the scenes by volunteers, researchers and other individuals who made huge innovations possible, this free exhibition showcases objects and stories that have been collected during this global challenge.

With more than 100 objects to discover, highlights include the vial of the first COVID-19 vaccine to be administered worldwide and personal items belonging to those at the heart of its development.
