This half term, Trafford Palazzo plays host to TP Science Fest, where young minds become budding scientists through hands-on science experiments and mind-boggling discoveries!
Free for all to attend from Wednesday 14 to Wednesday 21 February, visitors can enjoy unlocking the mysteries of science with exciting half term activities at Trafford Palazzo.
There is something for every science enthusiast this half term from Sublime Science Workshop involving mind-blowing experiments and fascinating demonstrations to exciting hands-on biology workshop where kids become DNA detectives.
Throughout the week, families can take part in:
Build a Robot Workshop | Friday 16th February | 11:00am, 12:30pm, 2:00pm, 3:30pm | Free
Join Trafford Palazzo to learn how to transform everyday materials into futuristic robots. With the expert instructors, families can learn how to creatively assemble their own robot made from scrap parts and junk.
Sublime Science Workshop | Saturday 17th and Sunday 18th February | 2pm | Free
From bubbling potions to spectacular science experiments, children can learn how to be a true scientist from the experts through fascinating demonstrations!
Science Arts and Crafts | Monday 19th February | 11am, 12:00pm, 1:00pm | Free
During the Science Fest Arts and Crafts event, visitors will have the opportunity to engage in a variety of interactive arts and crafts – something for the art lovers as well as budding scientists!
DNA Detectives | Tuesday 20th February | 12:00pm, 1:00pm, 2:30pm | Free
Join Trafford Palazzo for an exciting workshop where children can become DNA detectives. The hands-on biology experiment will let visitors extract DNA from fruits or vegetables, teaching them about genetics and the building blocks of life.
Coding for Kids | Wednesday 21st February | 12:00pm, 1:00pm, 3:00pm | Free
On the final day of TP Science Fest, Trafford Palazzo is hosting an exciting hands-on workshop where kids can learn all about coding through mazes and cups!
Trafford Palazzo will kick off the half term activities on Wednesday 14th February with mascot Maximus Palazzo, who will be spreading the love this Valentine’s Day by handing out flowers to visitors. There will also be Valentine’s themed activities for all to enjoy, including a love booth photo moment, chocolate making workshop and a live singer.
