Immerse Yourself in the Suave Setting of Hotel Brooklyn

In a departure from the original Fawlty Towers, this immersive experience unfolds at the chic Hotel Brooklyn—a homage to the Gilded Age of New York City.

A stark contrast to the iconic setting, Hotel Brooklyn offers a suave backdrop for the comedic chaos.

A Decade of Success: Fawlty Towers The Dining Experience

The show, a loving tribute to the BBC’s classic TV series, has toured over 1000 venues, averaging 400 shows annually across the UK.

Celebrating its eleventh year in London, it stands as London’s longest-running immersive experience.

The cast for the Manchester residency will include Suzanna Hughes as ‘Sybil’, Hayden Wood as ‘Basil’, and Leigh Kelly as ‘Manuel’.

Dates and Venue Information

Artistic Director Alison Pollard-Mansergh, Producer Jared Harford, and the whole team at Interactive Theatre International are proud to announce that Faulty Towers The Dining Experience, the critically acclaimed international immersive phenomenon currently celebrating its twenty-fifth anniversary, will launch a new UK residency in Manchester in 2023.

An Interactive Evening of Comedy and Cuisine

Manchester residents and visitors alike have the chance to witness Basil’s comedic antics firsthand, immersing themselves in the renowned Fawlty Towers restaurant’s unforgettable atmosphere.

When the audience become diners in the ‘Faulty Towers’ restaurant, pretty much anything can happen – because 70% of the show is improvised.

The fun starts as guests wait to be seated.

It then hurtles along in a 2-hour tour de force of gags and shambolic service as Basil, Sybil and Manuel serve a ‘70s-style 3-course meal together with a good dollop of mayhem.

Expect the unexpected!

Producer’s Excitement for New Residencies

Producer Jared Harford said, “We’re thrilled beyond belief to be bringing the fun and chaos of our show to Manchester, and we have a great partner in the team from Hotel Brooklyn.

“We know people still want to go out and enjoy themselves, while being conscious of rising costs – which is why an immersive show including dinner really is the best option for anyone looking for a spectacular night out in the centre of town!

Paul Bayliss MBE MI FIH, Regional General Manager at Hotel Brooklyn said, “This show is lots of fun and I’m sure it’ll bring plenty of laughs to the diners…and of course, it’s a great name for the event as every hotel and restaurant gets accused of being Fawlty Towers, so here’s the proof!”

A Global Sensation: From Brisbane to Manchester

A loving tribute to the classic TV series Fawlty Towers, created by John Cleese and Connie Booth, Faulty Towers The Dining Experience has captivated over a million people worldwide since its debut in Brisbane on April 24th, 1997.

Devised by Alison Pollard-Mansergh, Andrew Foreman and others, the show has been touring the UK and internationally since 2008, having appeared in 41 countries to date, and employing 56 actors per season.

The show has toured over 1000 venues, with approximately 400 shows per year on average across the UK, and has just celebrated its eleventh year in London, cementing its status as London’s longest-running immersive experience.

While drawing inspiration from the iconic show, it features original scripts and a unique format.
