Whether you’re lucky enough to have an hour or half an hour allotted to lunch and a few phone calls, Manchester can cater for you. Maybe you’re self-employed so you have even less than that, any way, you need it served hurriedly. And price is a talking point. Mancunians are getting a bit too cool for Subway now. And you’re probably sick of a Boots Meal Deal. However, anyone with any responsibility, can’t afford lunch at MCR House five days a week. So, even if it is just a Friday treat, here’s a few quick AND healthy lunch options that won’t leave your wallets in need of CPR.

1. Katsouris Deli

Katsourisdeli Lunch

New York style luncheon (loud and no-nonsense) on the beaten track of Deansgate. This little deli is the cornerstone of any Mancunian’s lunch. You haven’t worked in the city centre very long if you haven’t heard of Katsouris. Despite the noon queues, their hot roast section and salad bar is famously good value and gives decent portions – you can make sure of the salad yourself.
