An alpine village with festive après-ski cocktails and decadent hot chocolates is coming to Great Northern Warehouse

An alpine village with mini-chalets, children’s entertainment and a makers’ market selling original, locally made artisanal gifts is coming to Impossible Manchester at the Great Northern.

This all-new winter destination for all ages is located in the Great Northern Amphitheatre, behind the Impossible bar and theatre on Peter Street.

Bosses are aiming to bring all the fun of festive après-ski to town.

Whilst grown-ups are relaxing with some alpine-themed cocktails and decadent hot chocolates with a range of theatrical toppings at the full-service bar inside a luxury tipi, there’s a play area for younger guests to enjoy.

There will also be an Instagram photo wall and alpine photo booth, complete with giant themed props to help you capture your festivities in style.

Impossible owner Aaron Mellor told us “The village is super-hygge. A Danish word, in essence, hygge means creating a warm feeling of cosiness and comfort where you can enjoy the good things in life with good people – that’s what the village is all about.”

For anyone looking for a unique Christmas party setting, the tipi, along with Impossible’s Gin Nest and Theatre, is available for exclusive private hire with an events team on hand to curate and deliver a bespoke and memorable occasion.

Great Northern director Mark Schofield tells us: “With more and more people visiting Manchester from all over the UK this Christmas, we’re sure families and friends will have a fantastic time seeing the other Christmas festivities we have to offer.”

The Impossible Alpine Village will be open from Thursday 22nd November until the New Year. Mondays to Fridays 12 noon until late (open from 10am on Wednesdays) and Saturdays and Sundays from 11am until 11pm.  Entry is free.
