We all need a treat day from time to time, and we’ve found just the place for you to go to hit that indulgent spot.

Tucked away in Denton, this indulgent eatery is (in our opinion) one of the best-kept secrets in Manchester. From gluttonous burgers and sharing boards to indulgent shakes and desserts, here you can find any indulgence your heart desires all under one roof.

Housed in an adapted pub, the owners have retained its original character features where possible. Head in to spot repurposed stained glass windows and a glowing bar that has swapped out pints and g&ts for super-stacked shakes.

The team behind Sweet Diner know their stuff and are busy delivering top-notch grub for the masses with five extensive menus on offer spanning breakfast, lunch and evening dishes, desserts, shakes and drinks. On top of this, they also keep themselves challenged by creating fresh specials on a monthly basis. This month it’s the I Love MCR burger, stuffed with fat chips and gravy.

Gluttonous burger combos such as the Sloppy Joe (stuffed with minced keema, chips and onion rings on top of their classic steakhouse cheeseburger) and the Kashmiri Zing (super-spicy flame grilled chicken and beef tikka marinated in Naga Ghost Chilli Pickle) offer up something more than just your basic dirty burger with a mixture of Eastern and Western flavours on offer.

They have a hand in making their own ice cream and source a large variety of locally-baked cakes for their candyland dessert factory – which then go into creating their wild and wonderful freakshakes and cakeshakes.

What is a cakeshake, you ask? Well, pretty much what it says on the tin. Sweet Diner mix a big slice from their locally baked cake selection with whippy ice-cream, sauces, creams and more then serve it up for you to dig into with gusto.

The diner gets so popular that they’ve built a fully-equipped waiting room upstairs complete with sofas, an Xbox, Jenga and a pool table to keep you entertained whilst you wait.

The space is also popular for private events and is regularly booked out for birthday parties and family-style get togethers.

Bambinos in tow? Not to worry, Sweet Diner have a mini diner section on their menu that caters to your little ones with options such as their bagel pizza, cheeseburger and chips or fish fingers and chips to choose from.

The team here really know their stuff and are incredibly passionate about what they do. So, if you’re after something extra-naughty then we recommend you put Sweet Diner at the top of your list for your next cheeky treat. A fifteen minute drive from the city centre, the experience is definitely worth the trip.
