The Lowry Hotel is welcoming guests with a whole list of new menus, offers, and experiences to enjoy following its recent full refurbishment.
Manchester’s first five star hotel is a classic mix of contemporary styling meets first class service.
Following the launch of the new menu in the The River Restaurant last week, this week sees the launch of new menus in The River Bar and The Terrace to take us into the summer.
The menus are product-driven using only the very best quality regional and seasonal produce.
The River Bar has introduced some real crowd pleasers ideal for snacking on and filling up on in the relaxed and stylish space.
Roasted chorizo with Romasco sauce (£7.50) is packed full of flavour and pairs nicely alongside a long, tall drink. Chilli beef and ginger salad with radish, spring onion, and sesame dressing (£14.50) is a fantastic, light and punchy summer plate.
Deserving a special mention is the award-winning Five Star Burger (£16.95) created by sous chef Ivo which won the technical round at the UK National Burger Awards 2017. It’s a winner.
The Terrace also has some real treats to enjoy whilst you’re sat on Manchester’s longest terrace enjoying the sunshine and fantastic views of the River Orwell. Try a portion of salt and pepper seasoned crispy calamari (£8.50) or for something more substantial, asparagus salad with feta, beans, olives, giant cous cous, lemon and pine nuts (£12).
And there’s a new menu for little gourmets. Most places usually offer chicken nuggets and chips – you can still get them if that’s all they’ll eat – but with younger people’s palates getting more sophisticated, the mini gourmet menu has been adapted from the a la carte menu for under 12’s. And if two adults dine, they can order three a la carte courses for up to two children for free.
There’s also an array of offers for May in conjunction with these new additions but you will need to book through the website as terms and conditions apply.
Three courses from the Chef’s Choice menu including a glass of wine each is just £39 per couple. Sunday lunch for two with a glass of prosecco each is £36. And what could be better than the Afternoon Tea Special, which comes highly recommended by The British Tea Council, at £39 for two with fizz.
As if it’s not enough tempting us with all these food and drink goodies, they’re also offering a fantastic deal for May only.
Sign up for the spa annual membership scheme (£69 per month) and receive a complimentary overnight stay with dinner and breakfast for two people. What’s not to like? Get booking.
