It’s the most wonderful time of the year—and by “it” we mean Christmas. Manchester ditches the gloom and turns into a winter wonderland. Strings of fairy lights and The Christmas Markets dawn the city with spirit and joy. And despite the never-ending lines at all the shops, everyone seems to be smiling.

The only outdoor ice-rink
in Manchester

Spinningfields’ spreads the joy a little further with festive activities for everyone. The only outdoor ice-rink in Manchester has opened in Hardman Square, back for its seventh year.

Not the best with the blades? Wrap up in a faux fur throw and stay cosy by the log fires at The Lawn Club. You can leave the falling down to the professionals. Just a few steps away is Spinningfields’ newest pop-up #HAIGCLUB, promoted by David Beckham, at The Reserve Bar – the perfect spot for festive gatherings and after work drinks.

Spinningfields Winter Icerink

Throughout the winter, The Reserve Bar will be showcasing their luxury whisky with a series of unique events, including tasting evenings, whisky talks and grooming nights. Open from 4pm during the week and 1pm at the weekend. Nestled behind is everyone’s festive favourite, The Helter Skelter, open until Sunday, the 4th.

Crown Square has also decided to join in on the Christmas fun. Home to Bar Hütte, serving up warm and wonderful winter cocktails in an authentic alpine atmosphere, the square also hosts a very special ‘Crispmas’ Tree*. Made by local construction company Papyrus Design, the installation consists of 1,600 Pringles cans, which racks up a grand total of 144,000 individual crisps. Designed especially to be portable and reusable, the tree already has plans to pop up again around the UK and beyond.

With over 100 Christmas market stalls spread across Spinningfields, some of the best winter attractions in the UK AND David Beckham’s bar… Why would you ever want to leave?!

*Pringles will also be running a special competition, via Twitter @Pringles_UK during its eight week stay at Spinningfields with a prizewinner announced every week. Each weekly winner will receive one of the following prizes: a case of Pringles (18 cans), 4 cinema tickets, a Google Nexus and iTunes vouchers to the value of £60. Entrants are asked to follow @Pringles_UK and post a photo of themselves next to the tree with the accompanying hashtag #MerryPringlesTree to be in the running.
