A Whitney Houston hologram tour is coming to Manchester next month, giving fans the chance to enjoy the iconic singer’s greatest hits in a live theatrical atmosphere.

Stopping off in Manchester on 28th February, a hologram of Whitney will appear on stage alongside a live band, dancers and background singers to perform hits from her seminal career.

State-of-the-art technology will be used to conjure the iconic singer, who sadly passed away in February 2012.

The tour will include digitally remastered versions of Houston’s songs, including hits like I Will Always Love You, I Wanna Dance with Somebody (Who Loves Me), The Greatest Love of All and Higher Love.

At the helm of the show is the acclaimed choreographer and director Fatima Robinson, who worked on several music videos for Whitney during her lifetime.

More recently Fatima has worked on Dreamgirls, as well as music videos for stars like Kanye West, Aaliyah and Rihanna.

“Whitney was a musical trail-blazer and I’m extremely honoured to have this opportunity to help craft this show in her honour,” said the director and choreographer.

“I always enjoyed watching this magnificent woman and voice on stage and to be able to play a role in recreating that and helping others have those same emotions and experience is special.”

The only artist to chart seven consecutive number 1 Billboard Hot 100 hits, Whitney Houston achieved eight consecutive multi-platinum albums during her lifetime and redefined what it meant to be an iconic superstar.

She remains one of the best-selling artists of all time with over 200 million records sold worldwide.

BASE Hologram, also behind the Roy Orbison/Buddy Holly hologram tour, has partnered with the Estate of Whitney E. Houston to create the touring show.

The announcement coincides with the news of Whitney’s induction into the illustrious Rock & Roll Hall Of Fame.

The Whitney Houston hologram tour comes to Manchester’s 02 Apollo on 28th February.
