If hotels, bars and restaurants don’t float your boat for an upcoming event – then how about booking out your own private yacht?
This super-luxurious yacht, moored at Salford Quays, is available to hire for events, conferences, business meetings and overnight stays.
The 130ft Jacamar yacht is owned by renowned Manchester designer Paul Astill, who used to live on the boat, moored at Clippers Quay.
And his design flair is seen throughout the impressive interiors of the yacht – which has to be seen to be believed.
There are walnut-wood panelled walls and a huge living room area which can seat up to 30 guests, or a standing reception for up to 100.
Downstairs there are three stunning double bedrooms, with black marble en-suite bathrooms in two.
You can also soak up the Costa del Salford rays on the impressive upper and lower deck lounges while looking across the calm waters of the quays.
Paul famously designed legendary Manchester clubs like Sankeys Soap, The Circle and more recently has worked on bars including Crazy Pedros, Tariff and Dale and Elnecot.
In the kitchen of the yacht are original tiles from another of his famous designs, the infamous Paradise Factory.
He bought the boat 15 years ago as an avid boat fan, and loved it so much decided to live on it while in Manchester.
Paul even held his own wedding party on board the yacht, but has now moved out – and is hoping to put the yacht on the map as an unusual events venue in the city.
But he is keen to stress it is NOT to become a party boat – instead focussing on the corporate and holiday let market.
The yacht can be hired through Deepa Parekh who says: “We are putting the yacht on the map for Manchester now as a quirky venue. It’s different than anything you’ll have seen before. It’s an ideal space for corporates looking for something a bit quirky when it comes to sourcing a private hire venue.
“Also, as guests have exclusive use, it’s great for those with self catering needs as it has a fully operational industrial specification kitchen for private dinners.”
Hire fees start from £1,000 upwards.
