The Y Club Summer Body Blitz – achieve your fitness goals in 8 weeks

Most of us want to make changes to our lifestyles that will to help us feel better- get fitter, eat healthier, lose some weight and tone up those problem areas (we all have them). The problem is, despite our best intentions, we always find excuses for not reaching our goals. Not enough time in the day, lack of motivation, losing interest. Maybe we’re not seeing results quick enough or don’t really know what we should or shouldn’t be doing. Am I doing the right exercises? Am I eating the right foods?

That’s where the Y Club can help. The Y Club Summer Body Blitz is an eight week programme which will help you achieve your fitness goals and it’s completely free of charge when you join the Y Club, Manchester’s biggest and friendliest health club.

Here’s what you get…

Health check

A full health check, blood pressure, resting heart rate, weight and body fat percentage.

Body measurements

Four body measurements-waist, hips, thigh and arm-to really pinpoint the body’s ongoing changing process.

Programme plan and review every 2 weeks

SMART, a two month training programme tailored to your specific needs.

Specific – what’s your goal?

Measurable – to measure your progress

Achievable – goals should be achievable, they should stretch you slightly so you feel challenged, but defined well enough so you can achieve them.

Realistic – goals should be ambitious, but not impossible

Time – when will you finish? You need to choose a time, the sooner the better. Saying you will lose 20 pounds in three months is good but saying you will lose an average of two pounds every week for ten weeks is better.

Each programme will be reviewed and adapted every 2 weeks

Nutrition

Nutrition and diet advice to help you make the right food choices. Is what you think you’re eating really good for you or is it helping your waistline get bigger? Food diaries to help you log what you’re really eating. Healthy food recipes to prepare yourself. Plus you can book a one to one session with a gym nutritionist (price to be discussed).

Instructor class pass

One instructor class pass. This means if you really want to take part in a class but don’t want to go to it by yourself then you can get a member of staff to go with you.

Free gym buddy pass

Want to introduce a relative or friend to the gym? With the buddy pass you can bring them along and try out the club’s facilities.

Motivation and support

Throughout the eight week programme you will receive ongoing support by email or phone from your instructor to keep you motivated.

Prizes / small gift

A small prize or gift for reaching your goals.
