This is a night out with a difference. Think frat party meets sorority showcase meets girly movie night, complete with a film screening, sassy cocktails and plenty of girl power. It’s a night of self-love, good vibes and stellar party pop hits. So, if you fancy singing your heart out to Taylor Swift with a pizza slice in one hand and a cosmo in the other, you might have just found your perfect party. If you’d like to pop along, here’s what you can expect.

Get there early and kick off your night with a bang with a Mean Girls movie screening at 9pm. This is no quiet cinema, mind you. There will be candy floss cocktails to sip on and plush prosecco and, most importantly, pizza. Well, we all knew that diet was starting next week anyway. Enjoy the serious 90’s high school vibes and shout quotes from your favourite girl power movie before the club night starts at 11pm.

Special guests at this good vibes-only party include Girl Gang Sheffield co-founders Vanessa Fruits and Ben Babinski. They’re going to be busting out grade A tunes from pop to punk, to r&b and all the classics in between. Charlotte Clutterbuck of the fantastic Emo Disco will also be joining the party, throwing out banger after banger to keep the party popping well into the night. Whatever the tunes on deck, you can be sure you’re in for a good time.

You can ditch the iPhone snaps at this party because throughout the night you’ll have your very own superstar photographer Madeleine Penfold taking snaps of all of the mayhem so you’ll look fetch without the filter. She has had residencies at some of Manchester’s biggest venues including Joshua Brooks, Sankeys, Hidden and WHP. So, while on the floor busting your best dance moves, take a moment to pose for a photo. She’ll make sure you look top notch.

To top it all off, some of Manchester’s most awesome female-run businesses and creatives are giving away special goodies throughout the night. The likes of Thunderegg, Stag & Raven and Black Milk Cereal are just some of the reasons to keep smiling.

The guys at Pop Bubble Rock have also teamed up with 30 Second Head Start which trains women on how to keep safe at night. I mean with all of these good vibes going around, Ben Hiard deserves a high five for making this club night possible.

This Mean Girls House Party is a warm, friendly, fun event where everyone is welcome and all manner of questionable dance moves acceptable. Scream along to the power ballads, sip on candy floss cocktails and be in with the chance of winning girly goodies throughout the night- it’s win win! This good vibes-only kind of party makes a welcome change from the more commercialised club nights going on.

See you on the dance floor.
