“…authentic Thai dishes from the streets of Bangkok to the streets of Manchester”

The Streets of Bangkok are coming to Manchester.

Thaikhun street food restaurant is an appe’Thai’sing UK first and will offer an otherwise rare look into the culture of weird & wonderfull Thailand.

Due to open on The Avenue on Monday 26 May, ‘must try’ dishes and classic street food favourites will meet with feature cocktails and an extremely laidback environment to create the ultimate Thai experience shaped specifically for you.

Thaikhun is pronounced ‘tycoon’ and is therefore somewhat of an epithet, as this restaurant is set to be the boss of street food eateries in Manchester.

New and obviously exciting, Thaikhun will offer affordable dishes full of fresh and healthy ingredients from the world-renowned street food stalls of Bangkok. Joint owner, Kim Kaewkraikhot, is renowned in Thailand for creating meals bursting with flavour and wanted to bring a truly authentic and unique dining experience to the UK. She said:

“My passion is to bring authentic Thai dishes from the streets of Bangkok to the streets of the UK. I am really looking forward to sharing more signature dishes transported all the way from my cooking roots in Thailand.”

The eating experience is all about you (‘Khun’ means ‘yours’ in Thai) and this will continue through to the theatrical open kitchen so that you and the chefs will exist on the same level with your love of food: enjoy the theatre of watching your food being prepared by Thai chefs.

Michael Ingall, Chief Executive of Allied London, said;

“Our vision to introduce an exciting mix of high quality, independent eateries on to The Avenue is being realised with the imminent arrival of Thaikhun. Spinningfields is the go-to destination in Manchester for both restaurants and bars and we’re keen to continue to enhance our offering – the introduction of Thaikhun is giving the estate something new and different.”

Branching from The Thai Leisure Group which owns the wildly successful ‘Chaophraya’, you know that this experience is coming from a truly experienced site without compromising on being something truly unique and thrilling.

So, now you know. Don’t waste the information and make sure you’re there to try the UK first on 26 May at The Avenue.
