Thai foodie fans are in for a treat next month.
Thaikhun has announced it will be offering all guests 40% off their food bill in January 2020 to help ring in the new year.
The popular Thai restaurant has been a fixture in Spinningfields for years, and is still well loved for its authentic, street food-inspired dishes.
Healthy and tasty options on offer here include aromatic curries, Tom Yum soup and stir fried rice and noodle dishes.
Naughtier dishes, meanwhile, range from BBQ pork belly slices to Thai chicken katsu, Thaikhun’s twist on the classic Japanese favourite. Served with jasmine rice and homemade massaman curry sauce, it’s a must-try.
Founder Kim Kaewkraikhot began her cheffing career in 1993 on the streets of Bangkok, cooking pad thai from a small cart on the bustling streets of Thailand – and Thaikhun still serves her original pad thai recipe today.
Today she runs the restaurant empire with her husband, Martin, who she met in Thailand whilst operating the stall in 1997.
And she still regularly travels back to hunt out new recipes and flavours, making sure to test them out with her number one foodie influence, her mum, before putting them on the menu.
To secure your discount this January, all you need to do is book in advance online. The deal is available every Sunday to Thursday, starting from 5th January, for a maximum of six guests per table.
