A new Vietnamese-style restaurant is opening in Manchester city centre this autumn.
Namii Kitchen & Cocktails is taking over the old Blackhouse Grill site located on New York Street, and will feature authentic pan Asian cuisine, with a heavy Vietnamese influence.
The menu will showcase creative south-Asian classics, say owners, including pho, bahn mi and Vietnamese summer rolls.
Namii will also have a brunch menu which will run each day from 10am and include classic dishes with an Asian twist such as Eggs Royale with a honey miso dressing.
Every week Namii will also offer a variety of live music and DJs to accompany their evening menus each Friday and Saturday night.
Alongside their food menu, Namii will offer an innovative cocktail menu which has been inspired by Vietnamese mythology and folklore; one of their signature cocktails include ‘The Horse of Iron’ of Ming River Baiju, Roku Gin, Ginkgo Kernel and Wasabi Syrup.
At the core of all of their drink menus and choices sustainability has been paramount, working with brands such as ecoSPIRITS to eliminate packaging waste and overall reduce their carbon footprint.
Namii Kitchen & Cocktails will also offer an extensive wine and sake selection alongside their signature cocktail menu.
Each month, the venue will play host to a regular line-up of residencies, from renowned spirit and wine brands. The first residency will kick off in January with a focus on scotch whisky.
Namii Kitchen & Cocktails will host four ticketed events each month as part of the residencies from sensory tastings to tasting menus with paired drinks.
‘We can’t wait to open our doors in Manchester,” said owner and Managing Director, Terence Lee.
“The city has established itself as one of the UK’s most exciting food destinations over the past decade and we’re thrilled to be able to add to the line-up.”
John Clossick, sales and marketing manager also commented “Namii Kitchen & Cocktails is a new, bold concept, blending authentic Vietnamese food, flavours and technique with modern service, style and setting.
“Food is the centre of so many social occasions, and we want the restaurant to be somewhere friends can get together and catch up over a great dining experience.”
Namii Kitchen & Cocktails will open on Saturday 6th November, with bookings now being taken. To find out more, head to their socials @NamiiMCR or email [email protected].
