Let’s delve into the inspiring story of this selfless individual who has made a profound impact on the lives of many.

Mohammad Khairuzzaman’s journey as a volunteer began in 2012 when he established Work for Smile UK in Bangladesh.

Following his relocation to Manchester in 2016, he brought his compassionate mission to the heart of the city.

His altruistic endeavors have garnered recognition not only in Manchester but across the entire North West region.

At the forefront of Mohammad’s volunteer activities is his dedicated service in directing Work for Smile’s foodbank initiative.

Particularly since the outbreak of the pandemic, the demand for this vital service has surged.

Mohammad ensures that everyone who visits the foodbank receives not only essential provisions but also personalized consultations to identify and address any additional challenges they may be facing.

By connecting individuals with appropriate resources and support, he goes beyond immediate assistance, emphasizing the importance of holistic well-being.

Beyond the foodbank, Mohammad has actively participated in various local endeavors, demonstrating his unwavering dedication to his community.

He played an instrumental role in the Covid-19 Vaccination Drive, ensuring that as many people as possible received the lifesaving vaccine.

Additionally, he has distributed books to children affected by school closures, fostering a love for learning even in challenging circumstances.

Mohammad’s involvement in supporting refugees showcases his boundless compassion and commitment to standing up for those in need.

The Coronation Champions Awards, supported by Her Majesty The Queen Consort and the Royal Voluntary Service, were established to honor exceptional volunteers throughout the United Kingdom.

The judging panel was captivated by the impact of the nominees’ work, their inspiring stories, and their unwavering dedication to the spirit of volunteerism.
