Louis

This autumn will see the launch of Louis, an entirely new restaurant and musical venue from the Permanently Unique Group.

Louis is the result of a three year project, ambitious in nature, that will be located in Central Manchester in Spinningfields.

Louis, Spinningfields

It is expected to open later this year.

The theme is structured around classic New York Restaurants.

Guests will be welcomed into intimate booths, surrounded by excellent cocktails and beautiful cooking.

The big draw will be live performances providing a classy soundtrack to the evening.

From the team at FENIX

Guests will be served a menu developed and overseen by Executive Chef Ippokratis Anagnostelis, who recently launched FENIX,  although the food at Louis will be entirely different.

Ippokratis brings a deep understanding of how the Mediterranean influence has shaped Italian American cuisine, and as such the menu will focus on a concise range of classic dishes made with exceptional produce.

Home made fresh Pasta

Handmade fresh pasta will be made onsite from a dedicated pasta workshop adjacent to the Louis kitchen.

Head of Beverage, Will Meredith, will create a 12 strong drinks programme which focuses on American classic cocktails.

Soul, jazz quartets and swing bands at Louis

As a city known for its musical prowess, Louis will instil the quintessential Manchester ear for fresh new talent into the Louis line-up, alongside a weekly roster of performers from soul singers and pianists, to jazz quartets and full swing bands – each evening will be an entirely new experience, yet the familiar feeling of being at Louis, amongst friends, will be a constant.

Designed by Fabled Studios, Louis will offer the best seat in the house to each guest, with a tiered design centred around the main stage.

Louis will be a dinner-only venue and will open five nights a week, with a reservation only policy.

A no photos environment

Akin to the era that has inspired much of Louis, the restaurant will encourage a no-photos environment, with an emphasis on lived-experience over content creation.

The privacy and enjoyment of their guests, and curating an intimate atmosphere, will be their primary focus.

Louis will open in Manchester’s Spinningfields in autumn 2024
