Kosmonaut, the NQ’s convivial neighbourhood hangout, has launched an additional 80 seat diner style creative space, along with a new food menu, drinks list and website.

“…excellent coffee, ever changing art, super-fast WIFI and cordial nature.”

The new space is a daytime haven for creatives to work in, and welcomes lunches, coffee meetings and get-togethers all complemented by Kosmonaut’s excellent coffee, ever changing art, super-fast WIFI and cordial nature.

Located just off the beaten track on Tariff Street, the stripped back bar was established in August 2012 with stellar food and drinks and has a strong following and a fierce ping pong league.

“…many a special Cherry Garcia, with the sorbets, sherbets, liqueurs and cordials all made in house…”

The updated drinks list takes in over 60 artisan beers, with a rare and independent selection to rival any in town, from Flying Dog ales to Weird Beard brews. The newly refreshed craft cocktail list includes among many a special Cherry Garcia, with the sorbets, sherbets, liqueurs and cordials all made in house by the award winning bar team.

The extensive food menu is served all day and now includes a range of authentic NY sandwiches and salads that perfectly complement the impressive selection of burgers, hot dogs, pizzas and steaks. Mains include a Texas chilli beef brisket, the market fish of the day and an incredibly popular chickpea curry served in a mug with a corn bread muffin.

“…proud host of the infamous and highly acclaimed Manchester Egg…”

Sundays are all about the already legendary Kosmonaut Roast, plus the bar is also the proud host of the infamous and highly acclaimed Manchester Egg, a delectable twist on a classic dish.

Details of all the above can be found on the newly launched website, which hosts event listings, drinks offers, art exhibitions, beers of the week and Kosmonaut’s news.

Kosmonaut Northernquarter Manchester Diner Pingpong

Kosmonaut has a laid back, artistic feel inspired by the bars in NY’s meatpacking district. The three bare brick rooms have been stripped back to reveal the former cotton warehouse’s original character and are filled with individually sourced reclaimed fixtures and fittings. The bar top and tables are graffitied from their days in school science labs and the light fittings imported direct from derelict communist factories.

“…genial bar staff are on hand every night of the week to talk you into one of their award winning cocktails…”

From Thursday nights onwards you’ll find NQ favourites Pasta Paul, Will TRAMP, Dance Lady Dance, Clique or Murkage DJs playing and the genial bar staff are on hand every night of the week to talk you into one of their award winning cocktails…

With a capacity of 300 and three rooms over two floors, Kosmonaut is the go to venue for album and media launches, creative networking events and exhibitions for Manchester’s up and coming artists; providing a blank canvas, a friendly atmosphere and helpful staff to produce the perfect event.
