With the arrival of 2014 and so much advice on dieting and tips on weight loss, it is often the little changes which can have the most impact on health.

Simply by switching from beef and other red meats to a leaner buffalo meat, which is higher in protein, vitamin B and iron and with up to 90 per cent less fat content*, it’s the perfect healthy choice for any diet.

“…where the buffalo is hand reared…”

New café wine bar ‘Buffalo’ in Heaton Mersey, Greater Manchester, as its name suggests, specialises in buffalo meat serving up a tasty and nutritious menu of buffalo dishes and burgers to customers on a daily basis.

Buffalo Meat Pie

Buffalo Café Wine Bar offers a wide and varied food menu, from light bites and sharing platters to hearty main dishes with daily specials, and an extensive wine list.

It’s perfect for families too, with the little Buffalo’s menu available all day and an after-school loyalty scheme that is soon to be launched.

Owner Clive Tattersall comments: “Buffalo is a really tasty meat and when we realised the health benefits of using buffalo meat, with up to 50 per cent less cholesterol than beef, it was top of our menu.

“We use only the highest quality ingredients in our food and are keen supporters of local produce. We sourced a farm in North Wales where the buffalo is hand reared and that’s where it all began.

“We’re really excited about the year ahead with lots of events planned, from wine tastings to charity fundraisers, and look forward to welcoming our customers to enjoy the Buffalo experience.”

Location

464 Didsbury Road in Heaton Mersey and is open daily from 10 am to 10.30pm Monday to Thursday, 10am to 11pm Friday and Saturday and 10am to 10pm on Sunday.
