Homobloc returns for another Autumn edition at the mighty Depot Mayfield
Reuniting the clans once again, Homobloc welcomes artists, performers, spectators and clubbers to come together and present one of the greatest dancefloor coalitions of the LGBTQ+ community.
Featuring heavyweight live acts, this year’s headliners include 2023 Mercury Prize nominated artist Jessie Ware, Australian indie electro pop band Confidence Man, and Canadian electroclash producer Peaches. Further headline DJ sets include The Blessed Madonna, Romy, David Morales, Avalon Emerson, Horse Meat Disco, LSDXOXO, salute, SHERELLE b2b I. Jordan. The full line-up is revealed below.
The spectacular line-up of performers and dancers is an integral force that brings unmatched energy across all spaces of the festival. The programming is a joint effort by many, including LGBTQ+ collectives from Manchester and beyond. The collectives and curation include work by Ghetto Fabulous, Creatures by Beau Azra, Mischief by Banksie and Strutty Bitch who have been part of the Homobloc family since day one, as well as new collectives such as The Cavalcade and Drag Kings Of Manc.
Homobloc takes over the full expanse of Depot Mayfield including the three main stages (Depot, Concourse, Archive), plus additional stages across Temperance Street and the historical Star & Garter Pub.
New for 2023, Homobloc also expands to a never-before-seen space up on the roof of Depot Mayfield. The roof space welcomes an intimate takeover from Horse Meat Disco and hosts an array of programming, including cinema screening, in-session podcasts and talks, acoustic performances, pop-up shops and more.
Homobloc is a party with a purpose and is excited to be announcing the 2023 charity partners in the coming weeks.
