Don Giovanni is the oldest independently-owned Italian in Manchester, famed for its authentic cuisine, elegant atmosphere and friendly service.

Due to the roaring success of the Eat Out to Help Out initiative, the restaurant decided to extend the 50% off offer throughout September to give something extra back to its customers.

And now, they’re at it again, helping us all save a little more during these difficult times by offering 50% off the a la carte menu all day Monday to Friday this month – a ‘stay safe, feel loved’ scheme to keep Manchester laughing and dining together so these tough times feel a little less tough.

Covering all food on the menu, with a small supplement added to premium dishes such as steak and lobster, this half-price deal is now running right through until the end of October – which makes a quality meal out even better value than ever.

The food is exceptional, as you’d expect from a restaurant which recently celebrated its 36th birthday. And with 50% off, it’s the perfect opportunity to treat yourself.

Don Giovanni’s ingredients are as fresh as it gets, and seafood is a particular highlight. The grigliata mista de pesce – a seasonal platter of seafood including everything from pan-fried salmon to plump prawns and rich, garlic-infused mussels – is a must-try.

All the fresh fish and seafood is cooked simply and with love, from Scottish scallops or monkfish to grilled wild Devon dover sole.

If meat is more your thing, then you won’t be disappointed by a classic crisp golden chicken milanese, or the saltimbocca, which sees delicate British rose veal escalopes wrapped with salty prosciutto ham and aromatic sage in a soft, buttery sauce.

Or treat yourself to the steaks, from locally reared grass-fed cattle around Macclesfield. They’re cooked on a Josper grill for that unmistakable smoky taste and superior tenderness.

There’s also a super selection of meat-free dishes, from gnocchi al pomodoro and wild mushroom risotto to spinach and ricotta ravioli or a primavera pizza topped with colourful Mediterranean vegetables.

All the classic pasta dishes are there as well, from comforting spaghetti carbonara to luxurious lobster ravioli and delightful vegetarian-friendly cannelloni, along with a very special tagliolini with fresh Cornish crab and sweet cherry tomatoes in a velvety cream sauce.

If you want to treat yourself to a top notch wine using the money you’ve saved, you’ve come to the right place.

As well as plenty of choice by the bottle and glass, Don Giovanni also offers wines using the Coravin preservation system, which allows premium wines to be served by the glass without pulling the cork.

It basically means you can try a glass of something really special, without the eye-watering price tag if you’d had to order it by the bottle.

But if you’re worried about eating out in public at the moment, don’t be. Don Giovanni has implemented rigorous safety measures to ensure guests can dine without risk.

There’s a one-way system throughout the restaurant as well as hand sanitisers, plus the staff are using gloves, visors, temperature checks and screen shields between the booths – though it never feels too intrusive or distracting.

All you need to do is relax and enjoy your meal in the stylish settings of the St Peter’s Square restaurant, with huge windows offering captivating views of the bustling city.

And if you can’t make it into the restaurant for any reason, Don Giovanni is also offering a selection of dishes for takeaway too so you can enjoy their delicious food at home.

Don Giovanni is offering 50% off the a la carte menu all day Monday to Friday throughout October when you book in advance. Terms and conditions apply.
