Fans of classic 90s cult movie The Big Lebowski can raise a toast to The Dude whilst engaging in his favourite pastime – bowling.

Manchester’s boutique bowling alley, Dog Bowl, has revamped its drinks menu and introduced a fresh new range of themed cocktails with the Coen brothers’ movie in mind.

The mastermind behind the new cocktails is award-winning cocktail creationist Massimo Zitti who was given the task of redesigning Dog Bowl’s cocktail menu.

“The bar team at Dog Bowl all love The Big Lebowski, and our regulars talk about the movie all the time when they come to bowl, so we thought it would be fun to integrate this theme into our drinks menu,” said Massimo, who is head of drinks development and training at Black Dog Ballroom Group.

“We’re confident that even people who haven’t watched the movie will appreciate the cocktails as much as the avid fans do.”

Dog Bowl has created a selection of cocktails inspired by the main character, Jeff Lebowski, including ‘The Dude’ – made with Finlandia vodka, Kahlua coffee liqueur, milk and cream (served in a milk carton just like Jeff drank) and ‘Jeff’s Spiced Milk Punch’ – made with Bacardi Carta Blanca rum, Bacardi Carta Fuego rum, pineapple juice, milk, cream, homemade cinnamon syrup, chocolate bitters and grated nutmeg.

Other new drinks on the menu inspired by the movie include ‘Kidnapped Fizz’ with Bombay Sapphire gin, peach liqueur, vanilla essence, milk, cream, fresh lemon juice, fresh lime juice and soda, or the ‘California Strong Shake’ with Finlandia vodka, white chocolate liqueur, milk, caramel syrup and fresh strawberries.

The Lebowski range of cocktails are priced at £7.50 each and are available now. For more information visit www.blackdogballroom.co.uk/dog-bowl/drinks
