With the warmer weather and lighter nights fast approaching, our thoughts are eagerly turning to outdoor drinks and dining.

In line with the government’s latest guidelines, Dive Bar & Grill will be opening their Northern Quarter terrace on 12th April – and it’s one of the best in the city.

Following a £250k refit last year, the restaurant’s ground-level terrace benefits from a fully retractable canopy and heating system with comfortable furniture, offering a fantastic setting for al fresco dining and drinking.

Unsurprisingly, it’s already getting booked up quickly – so it’s worth reserving your spot now ready for the end of April or May.

To celebrate reopening, they’ve created a limited edition Spring menu for you to enjoy some of their most popular dishes as well as new seasonal specials – and there are some brand new drinks on the menu, too.

Dive Bar & Grill’s small dishes are perfect for sharing with friends, now that we can meet outside in groups of six (or two households).

Inspired by fresh seasonal flavours and just the thing for the warmer weather on the way soon, mouthwatering options include mini halloumi burgers served with hummus and crisp lettuce, or delicious crab cakes with a zingy green chilli salsa.

There’s also golden fried chicken with spicy sriracha mayonnaise, or nutty satay sweet potato – and who can resist the charms of a fish finger sandwich in the early evening sunshine?

They’ve also added a selection of delicious desserts, including a tropical passionfruit cheesecake or a rich chocolate pot served with popping candy.

And what better way to mark the return of after-work drinks with friends than with an ice cold beer or a cocktail or two on the terrace?

The question is, will you go for a classic refreshing Mojito, a much-missed Aperol Spritz, or one of Dive’s brand new summery creations?

Another thing we’ve sorely missed these past months is a leisurely, laid-back brunch with friends – and Dive has you covered for that, too.

Available every Saturday and Sunday from 12pm-3pm, though already getting booked up quickly, you’ll find a super selection of brunch dishes, cocktails and smoothies to enjoy al fresco.

Dishes include poached egg and avocado served on a toasted muffin, a classic smoked salmon and cream cheese bagel, or a hearty chargrilled bacon chop served with fried egg.

What better way to head into the weekend?

As the sun starts to shine and restrictions start to lift, we can’t wait to embrace al fresco drinking and dining as we head into summer.

See you on the terrace.

Dive Bar & Grill, Tib Street will open their outside terrace on Monday 12th April. Walk-ins are welcome but tables are limited, so advance booking is recommended to avoid disappointment.
