To celebrate World Turtle Day this Sunday, Deliveroo has teamed up with Crazy Pedros to create a limited-edition range of weird and wonderful pizzas inspired by the world’s four most famous pizza-loving superhero turtles.
The wild limited-edition pizzas, inspired by pizzas eaten in episodes of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles show, include banana and anchovies (from Snakes Alive – episode 139), sausage and Jelly Beans (from Slash The Evil Turtle From Dimension X – episode 83), and pepperoni and marshmallows (from April Fool – episode 29), all priced at £16.
Fans of the cartoon will be familiar with their love of crazy pizza toppings, joining the likes of ratatouille, green eggs and Turkish delight in a long line of famous fictional foods.
“We’ve had so much fun working on this with Deliveroo – we’re known for doing some pretty out there stuff and these three pizzas tick all the boxes in what we’re about pizza wise – out there flavour combinations that shouldn’t work but they (usually) do!” said Nick Coupland from Crazy Pedro’s.
“These are also super limited so once they’re gone, they’re gone!
“And all the better to do this in the name of World Turtle Day!”
The Crazy Pedro’s limited-edition pizza range is available exclusively on Deliveroo this weekend, if you fancy trying the bodacious new flavours for yourself.
‘‘We’re always cooking up new ways to create fun and unique dishes with our restaurant partners, but these new pizzas inspired by four of our favourite turtles will seriously make our customers think ‘what the shell?’” said Natasha Graydon from Deliveroo.
“If you have a penchant for adventure, now’s the perfect time to try something turtle-y new.
“Jump on the Deliveroo app this weekend and check out Crazy Pedro’s inspired shellection of weird and wonderful pizzas.”
The limited edition World Turtle Day pizzas cost £16 each, plus delivery and service fees, and will be available from Crazy Pedro’s (Bridge Street and NQ branches) on Deliveroo between 22nd – 23rd May.
