After the success of last year’s event, The Color Run presented by Dulux will be back in Manchester this summer.

More than 5,000 ‘Color Runners’ of all shapes, sizes, ages and speeds took part last year as the run made its debut in the city in July 2013.

Dubbed ‘The happiest 5k on the planet’, The Color Run is not timed, meaning groups of friends can walk, jog, dance and party their way along the course at any pace. At each kilometre, colour explosions cover runners in kaleidoscopic fashion before DJs entertain the crowd in the Colour Festival Area after the finish line.

This year’s event takes place at the Etihad Campus on Saturday July 5th. Registrations open at 9am February 7th at www.TheColorRun.co.uk at £25 for individuals and £23 p/person for group bookings (There is a £4.99 cost for postage and packaging of entry pack).

The Color Run has its origins in the ancient Hindu Holi Festival – often known as both the festival of love and the festival of colour. More than 170 events are now organised by The Color Run each year across the world.
