‘Big Day’ for Hey Little Cupcake as they celebrate Wedding Industry Awards Wins…
Hey Little cupcake is fast becoming one of Manchester’s favourite indulgences – and it looks like we’re not the only ones who can’t get enough of their creative little cakes! Last night, HLC were awarded ‘Best Cake Designer’ and ‘Best Newcomer’ in the first ever Wedding Industry awards, which took place at London’s prestigious nightclub Café de Paris.
The awards, which recognize and reward excellence in wedding suppliers across 19 categories both regionally and nationally, are the first of its kind for the wedding industry and have proved to be a huge success. Over 2000 wedding suppliers entered the awards in 17 categories including ‘Best Dress designer’, ‘Best Caterer’, ‘Best Photographer’ and ‘Best Florist’.
HLC managed to beat off stiff competition from more than 20 wedding suppliers who entered the ‘Best Cake Designer’ category to win at regional and national level. Their unique take on the traditional wedding cake proved to be a popular choice for countless couples looking to make their big day extra special last year. It was these couples who helped HLC win the category by explaining why their HLC wedding cake made their day so special.

HLC’s owner Sarah Wilson commented:
‘We were delighted to have won ‘Best Cake Designer – North West’, but to win at the national finals and be awarded ‘Best Newcomer’ too is a dream come true! The team at HLC relish the challenge of coming up with new and exciting ideas for wedding cakes – it’s really rewarding to know that you’ve helped make someone’s big day extra special! We pride ourselves on making cakes that look great as well as taste great and it’s great to be recognised for this.’
